i desperately need to catch up with blogging the weddings i have second shot over the last year. so here is the first of a few.
i have been wanting to photograph a wedding at the naval academy for a long time! so when my friend and fellow wedding photographer kyle martell called me up to ask if i wanted to second shoot a wedding with him that just happened to be at the naval academy i jumped on it! second shooting really is a lot of fun and since kyle and i work together often i find that we’re a great team and have a lot of fun.
i got the awesome job of photographing the bride Christine while she got ready. i have to say that this is definitely one of my favorite parts of the wedding day.
doesn’t she have the most beautiful smile!
then on we went to the naval academy chapel. such a beautiful day!
one of the really fun parts of second shooting is getting different angles that i get as a primary shooter. while kyle ran around to the staircase to go up and photograph christine and caleb i got to get a few of their reactions to their family and guests.
what’s a military wedding without the sword arch!?
love this moment! no idea what they were saying or what they were laughing about…but it cracked me up.
i just love the way caleb’s hand rests in the small of christine’s back.
the reception was held at celebrations at the bay. what a beautiful view!
everyone had a great time dancing and laughing the night away!
thanks kyle for asking me to be your side kick and second shooter for the day! it was awesome.
Gorgeous looking wedding!
It really was a beautiful day and wedding!
