Sun, Sand, Palm Trees…a little R&R in Mexico

this wedding season has been crazy. crazy good and crazy busy. no complaints here at all…i am in love with what i do! however…i was in great need of a little r&r. a little time to step away from the computer and clear my mind. a little time for beach naps and fruity drinks. a little time for cute flip flops and summer dresses. a little time for no schedules and lots of laughs. so…i got away for a week and headed to mexico.

originally my plan was to leave my camera behind and go on vacation armed with only my camera phone.  i didn’t want to lug around a camera bag full of equipment but…i knew that i would be really sad if i didn’t have my camera with me to document my trip. instead i opted to take my iPhone, a waterproof point and shoot, and one of my older dslr camera with only one lens. i traveled light. well by light…light in camera gear. i did of course pack plenty of options for sandals, dresses, tops, bathing suits…you get the picture.

i highly recommend to everyone the goodness of getting away from everyday life and stress and routine. i was without phone service or email for the whole week. the resort we stayed at did have wifi so i stayed in touch with the kids via Facebook, Instagram, and Snap Chat. i posted a few Instagram photos while i was gone too…just couldn’t resist that urge.
