My last wedding of 2014 was so much fun!! I actually met Lacie and Patrick the day of their wedding and they were absolutely awesome. Now…we do have a few things in common…namely…they’re a young military couple (I was married quite young to a Marine) and now Patrick is stationed in Hawai’i (I lived in Hawai’i too)! I just couldn’t stop talking about Hawai’i with them and how insanely jealous I am that they’re living there now and I’m stuck in Virginia. Perhaps they shouldn’t share their address with me??? I might just show up at their doorstep sometime this winter 🙂
Their wedding was cozy and rustic and full of laughter and love.
It’s always a struggle getting into that dress.Lacie braved the cold for pictures outside. So pretty!!
A Marine Corps family never forgets the Eagle Globe and Anchor.Lacie’s eyes are amazing! I could have taken pictures of her all day…but it was a bit cold.Love the pop of color in the dresses and the boots. Patrick and his Father are both men in uniform and they looked so dapper together. There’s nothing quite like the Marine Corps Dress Blues. They did a great job decorating the church (New Life Church in Gainesville) with a fall rustic “barn” theme. Think they’re excited to get married?? We had about 5 minutes of portrait time outside before sunset. We ran outside immediately following their ceremony and took full advantage of it! And then it was on to the reception for dancing and fun!Probably my favorite shot of the day!!! One last portrait of the night.
Amber you did an amazing job capturing the joy of the evening. I’m sitting here with tears in my eyes. BJ and I could not be more proud of Patrick and his service. And we are so thrilled that he chose Lacie for his bride ( I think his dad and I chose her before he did 😉 ). We have loved her since the first time we meet her almost 5 years ago. These images capture just a moment of their amazing journey that they are on. Thank you. They are beautifully done.
