Intimate Fredericksburg Backyard Wedding
Colleen and John were married on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in her grandparent’s backyard. They had an intimate gathering with only their closest friends and family and dined al fresco after saying their “I do’s”. It was a pleasure spending the afternoon and evening with them, capturing their joy and love and laughter. There’s just something about an intimate wedding at home that gives me the goose bumps.
Just look at that smile!!
Colleen had secluded herself to get ready in her grandparent’s bedroom. She didn’t want John to see her before the ceremony.
Her simple sequined gown was perfect for the day. This bouquet was so beautiful. Loved the dried flowers and the fact that it would last forever.Colleen did her own hair and had her maid of honor help with makeup.John and Jack were all smiles as they waited for the ceremony to start. He even cut his hair as a wedding day surprise for his bride!Could this little guy get any cuter???? Jack’s shoe fell off just before heading out to the ceremony. It took a few hands to get it back on.Colleen’s grandparents are absolutely the cutest!Colleen was a little emotional while walking to meet John. Tears of happiness and joy always get me.
All the guest wrote names and wishes on balloons of loved ones that weren’t able to make it to the wedding or weren’t with them anymore. They then let them go during the ceremony.Married! The table setting outside under the deck was simple and beautiful! The food was served family style.
While their guests started eating Colleen and John enjoyed their first dance on the deck.
Congratulations John and Colleen and Jack!!!!!
