A snowy winter wedding has been a dream of mine for awhile now and this past weekend I got to photograph one. I’m so excited to post this Historic Rosemont Manor Winter Wedding!
Kate and Chris chose to get married at Historic Rosemont Manor in Berryville, VA in late January. As luck would have it the great blizzard happened the week before their wedding leaving a blanket of snow on the ground for their big day. It was amazingly beautiful!! The whole day was perfect with the sun out, blue skies, and lots of smiling and loving friends and family.
Kate and Chris chose gold and black for their wedding colors with a little art deco inspiration added in.
Kate’s dress was so pretty…with a little lace cap sleeve and beautiful embroidery. It has some art deco inspiration which Kate carried through the wedding. This window at Rosemont worked great to hang the dress in.
Kate’s hair piece and earrings were to die for! Totally in love.
The perfume was a wedding present from Chris. Thoughtful man!
While Kate got ready downstairs in the Manor in the Roosevelt room Chris got ready up stairs in the Eisenhower room.
A little spritz…
I’m so in love with this image!
Chris looked very handsome in his perfectly fitted tux.
First Look Time!!! Kate and Chris opted to see each other before the ceremony to help calm wedding day nerves and to be able to get a lot of their pictures out of the way. They wanted to be able to enjoy their cocktail hour.
Oh Kate….you’re such a gorgeous bride! I’ve never seen you look so radiant and happy.
Yes it was a cold January day but Kate really, really wanted an outside ceremony on the portico. And it was worth every little shiver.
To help with those shivers everyone had a blanket!
And then…..Kate walked out with a cape!! With a cape!! An ivory hooded furry cape. And you could hear everyone give a little gasp. She was a vision….like out of a storybook.
The reception was held in the carriage house. That ceiling was amazing! The gold and black and ivory colors carried through here with the votives adding a touch of the art deco look. It was stunning.
Kate’s dad gave a welcome speech that didn’t leave a dry eye in the room.
