Danielle & Tyler: Richmond Wedding Photography

I have never seen two people laugh so much! Danielle & Tyler’s smiles and laughter is contagious and you just can’t help but be happy and smile too when you’re with them. This has to be one of the most fun and laid back weddings I’ve had the pleasure of photographing. I’ve known these two for what seems like years now and I’ve watched them grow from high school kids into adults. I’ve watched them be completely true to themselves and live authentically. Their love has grown over the years and it’s been so much fun watching them build a life together. When they said they were getting married I was so honored that they asked me to document the day for them. Tyler’s like a son to me and he’s been my son’s best friend for many years so being a part of the wedding day was extra special. Danielle & Tyler were married on January 2nd on what turned out to be a beautiful winter day! Really they couldn’t have asked for better weather in January…there was a brisk breeze but the sun was shining. The wedding took place at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA and they were surrounded by all of their closest friends and family. Danielle & Tyler’s sense of style is very fun and colorful and dare I say…hipsteresque. Danielle’s hair even matched their wedding colors! How awesome is that? And I can’t say enough about how cool her tattoos are. Tyler rocked his man bun and slim fitting suit and these two laughed and smiled the whole day! They included many of their engagement photos at the wedding. Danielle and her family did all of the wedding flowers and decorations for the day.Being a hair stylist Danielle had lots of talent around her for the day which made getting her hair done a breeze.These guys….Smiles and laughs during the ceremony too! Along with a few tears too.Tyler & his best man. There is a story behind this photo…it’s a recreation of another photo of the two together in high school. They had to consult Facebook for the original photo to make sure they got it right. So in love with this first dance shot!We ended the night on top of the roof!
