Monday Madness: Volume 22

Quote of the week

“Let go of certainty. The opposite isn’t uncertainty.
It’s openness, curiosity and a willingness to embrace paradox,
rather than choose up sides.
The ultimate challenge is to accept ourselves exactly as we are,
but never stop trying to learn and grow.”

Tony Schwartz

Highlights of the Week:

* As I look over my instagram feed I realize that 75% of my posts are kitten posts 🙂 There’s so much cuteness it’s hard for me to work! I want to play with my kittens all day long and then take naps with them and then take pictures of them. Maybe I can become a professional kitten/cat photographer? Because that would be awesome! And what else is awesome is the newest addition to my kitten pack. Yes! I actually found the perfect little orange furry kitten and I’ve named him Agamemnon. I’m in kitten momma heaven.

* I’ve tried to start back to my healthy smoothies in the morning. I managed to concoct my favorite one yet! Recipe here…it’s delicious!!! And everything of course tastes better with a little bit of Aloha…so make sure you sip yours our of a Hawai’ian mug 🙂
* The rain last week was crazy! I had one session get rained out and my wedding on Saturday was at Great Falls Park and the river was crazy! Search and rescue helicopters kept flying over quite obviously looking for someone. Quite scary. But it was a beautiful day with a blue sky and a beautiful wedding!
* Saturday evening we hung out with friends for a few hours and it was really nice to relax and chat and unwind. I think that’s something I definitely need to do more of. Problem is…in this line of work it’s not very often I get Saturday evenings off. Perhaps I should start hosting Wednesday evening summer dinner parties? That would be awesome…and I just came up with that right now. I think I may implement this…starting this week! Bam! Good ideas come when I just talk sometimes.
* This week was filled with very beautiful and fun sessions. Friday I got to meet sweet Baby Louis who was only 5 days new! Saturday I got to witness and photograph Kim and Rob getting married and also have a gorgeous senior session with Miss Allis. And Sunday I had the pleasure of running around alleys and old buildings and fields photographing Miss Macaela for part two of her senior session.
*So this week….is all about editing! (And playing with kittens…let’s be honest). And here are some previews from the gorgeousness I had in front of my camera this weekend…
