where do i possibly begin??? i should definitely start with saying how incredibly honored i am that angela and dan chose me to be their wedding photographer. and they flew me to illinois from va just to document their lovely day! angela and i know each other from going to photography school together in washington dc. after graduation we’ve stayed Facebook friends and kept track of each others lives like you do on Facebook. when i saw that she had met dan and then got engaged i couldn’t have been happier for her! then she contacted me to photograph their wedding and i was even happier.
it’s so lovely being a witness to love. there’s nothing i love more than to watch two people love on each other. two people who light up when the other walks in the room. that’s angela and dan!
the day started with angela and dan getting ready at the same hotel but without seeing each other at all until the ceremony. i was with the girls while they got ready.
i stepped in to to check on dan and the guys for a photo or two and then ashley nicole of alacrity photography took over photographing the boys.
angela’s mom and sister helped her get into her dress and i just loved watching these three women share such a special moment.

angela absolutely glowed!
then we were off to the venue Oak Lane of Oregon. it was a beautiful rustic barn location in the middle of fields of farm land.
i love this smile on dan’s face as he saw angela for the first time…
there’s something about these next two images. there’s something imperfectly perfect about them. the movement, the backlight, the feeling. and there’s just something so lovely about two people joining hands to get married.
we stepped outside into the cold and bitter wind for some photos!
then we stomped off into the snow!
the reception was in the top floor of the barn. it was so amazing!
i couldn’t resist getting a few portraits in front of these awesome shelves of country goodness!

angela made a dress change before heading off in the limo with her new husband! hello hotness!!

and now these newlyweds are in hawai’i for two weeks!!!!
