Annie and Andrew have a love that is visceral. You can see and feel it the moment you look at the two of them together. The way they smile at each other, look at each other, and make each other laugh is absolutely beautiful. It was such a pleasure to be a part of their day and document it for them. The day started out at the Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria where both Andrew and Annie and their wedding party got ready. Andrew is Scottish and they used many Scottish details in their wedding. It was absolutely fantastic!!The “Coup de Marriage” is a family tradition on Andrew’s side. She has been in the family for many many years.Annie’s bridesmaids worked very hard to make sure there were no wrinkles in her dress! I was so thankful I was taking pictures and not in charge of that. I need to thank my fabulous second photographer Leah for taking pictures of Andrew and his Groomsmen getting ready and for all of her fabulous photos from the day! What a fabulous portrait of Andrew!!While Andrew was getting dressed…so was Annie! And this is how excited she was to get in her gown.Oh my…her smile could light a stadium!! Just gorgeous. What you can’t see is that she’s smiling as she’s looking at her mother. Heart melting!! (Also…that’s her sister and matron of honor in the back of the photo smiling so big. Needless to say it was a happy happy moment!)These next two portraits…well…they kind of take my breath away.Off to see her fabulous Groom for a First Look. Andrew and Annie wanted to make sure to have time for plenty of portraits and not feel rushed during the day so they decided to see each other prior to the ceremony. I love it when couples do this. The day runs so smooth and we can get so many beautiful images. Also…a huge shout out for Annie’s fabulous bouquet!! Oh my goodness…so amazing!!Andrew can hear his beautiful Bride walking up to meet him…and look at his excitement! He looked so dapper and seriously I could have taken pictures of his attire all day long. What a stunning couple!!!!Hello gorgeous wedding party!! And the best part? They were all the nicest people in the whole wide world. It’s obvious that Annie and Andrew have surrounded themselves with good hearted beautiful souls.Did I mention they were fun? And have you really looked at all of their outfits??? I love kilts!!Brothers! So many beautiful smiles 🙂Mom and sister kisses for the Bride…Love! One of the cutest and sweetest flower girls ever! Maddie was an absolute joy.Wow! Annie…you are amazingly beautiful…inside and out. Your beautiful soul shines so bright. Then we jumped on a bus and headed to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Old Town Alexandria for a beautiful wedding ceremony. Married!!!!And my favorite part was next….a parade led by a bagpiper through the streets of Old Town Alexandria from St. Paul’s to the fountain. It was magnificent! After a few pictures at the fountain we headed back to Virginia Theological Seminary for more portraits and the reception. The light…was coming in through the trees and was beautiful. The speeches were beautiful and funny. And of course…more images during golden hour! And then back inside for dancing and celebrating. Annie and Andrew– Words cannot express how beautiful your wedding day was. I can only hope that I was able to capture all of the beauty and love with my images. You are two of the most beautiful people and beautiful souls I have ever met. It is so obvious how much you love each other and how much you are loved and respected by your family and friends. I loved your words about sustaining each other. I know we only spent the day together but I am a deeply grateful to have been a part of your day and surrounded by the beautiful light that encompasses you both. May you have many years together holding hands and sustaining each other. –Amber Vendors: Venue: Virginia Theological Seminary Ceremony: St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Wedding Coordinator: JoLynn Ibanez of A Weddings Squared (aweddingsquared@gmail.com) Flowers: Heather Lukk (family member) DJ: Mark Harman of Harmany Djs Wedding Cake: Confectioner’s Art Hair: David Brintzenhofe MUA: JoLynn Ibanez Bride’s Gown: Nicole Miller Bridesmaid Dress: David’s Bridal Caterer: Meriweather Godsey, Benjamin Judd
