2941 Wedding Pictures Falls Church Virginia
Dylan and Ashley were married at 2941 Restaurant in Falls Church, Virginia. For those of you who have been lucky enough to dine there you know it’s amazing! The food is both beautiful and scrumptious and the restaurant and grounds are awesome. I mean how many restaurants have a waterfall and koi ponds? Dylan and Ashley chose this venue for their wedding as at one time Dylan worked here and still has a close relationship with the chef and staff.
It turned out to be a rather overcast and rainy day but they didn’t let that damper their excitement. When Dylan and Ashley booked me they said that they just wanted to have a really nice party (with amazing food) with their friends and family. They didn’t want a lot of formal wedding stuff and didn’t want a lot of the wedding traditions. They were there to get married and have a good time. I love it!!!!
Lately I’ve had the absolute pleasure of photographing more and more weddings that are all about the relationships. Relationship with the venue, the food, and family and friends. It’s so beautiful to see that couples are dreaming up and planning their weddings based on what is important to them and leaving out traditional wedding activities that they simply aren’t in to.
I just love the architecture and landscape of 2941!
Dylan and Ashley were very untraditional, opting to see each other before the ceremony and get ready together. I love this moment with Dylan tying the ribbon on Ashley’s gorgeous BHLDN dress. There was a break in the rain so we headed outside for a few portraits around the venue after.
Due to the rain the ceremony was moved inside to one of the gorgeous rooms looking out onto the koi pond.
Post ceremony there was some Champagne sipping, marriage license signing, and prep before heading to cocktail hour.

Dylan and Ashley did opt for a cake cutting and I’m so happy they did because I just loved the way the lights reflected off the glass. So pretty!
No official first dance…but they did have a dance party!!

I’ve photographed many weddings at 2941 and I love how they’re all a little bit different.
