So this is week #2 with my kittens and they’re 3 weeks old. Of course I don’t know exactly when they were born so I”m guestimating here. This week has been a lot more work than the first week! First of all they’re bigger and starting to play and want attention. They don’t spend all their time sleeping so they want to be running around. They’re drinking twice as much formula now and have all gained several ounces.
Also last weekend I discovered that not only were they suckling on each other but they were actually suckling on each other’s private regions and drinking urine. Yuck! On top of that the two bigger guys (below right) were picking on the little guy (left) and his privates were all swollen and red. I separated them all immediately and they’re all in separate boxes now. This has made them super angry with me! Now they don’t just mew they actually holler. Very loudly!
They’re starting to play with each other. Especially the two grey guys. I call the all grey one Albert and the tiger striped grey guy Arthur.
This is Archibald (Archie) and he’s my sweet sweet lovey kitty. I had to take him to the vet yesterday because of his swollen red and now bleeding privates. He’s on 10 days of antibiotics and he’s as pitiful as they come. He’s quite needy and I’m ok with that.
