Oh my Savannah Grace…you are beautiful in so many ways!!! Happy Happy 17th Birthday to you!! I thought today would be the perfect day to share part 1 of your senior photo session. Totally fitting to show the world your style and grace and smile today on your birthday. I’m so proud of you, who you are, and who you are becoming. I am so proud to say that I’m your mother. We’ve been through a lot together and getting to take your senior photos right as you enter your senior year of high school is a gift to me. You are a gift to me and actually to everyone around you. I love you!
Savannah is a senior at North Stafford High School this year. She is heavily involved in band and is the drum major of her marching band this year. She is interested in pursing a degree in International Relations and is considering all of her college options. High on the list are The University of Chicago and Michigan State University.
Part one of Savannah’s senior session took place in Richmond at the VMFA. It was so beautiful there! These first images were on the front porch of a little building to the side of the VMFA. Loved the columns and the light!
We moved inside the VMFA for a few shots. 
Then outside…and up to the parking garage. 
As we were driving to go meet friends for dinner…we found the light! That perfect gorgeous evening light. We pulled over in a random Arby’s parking lot…because come on…when you find gorgeous light you have to use it for amazing portraits!!
