Shonna & Keith: Intimate at Home Maryland Wedding

Shonna and Keith were married in an intimate ceremony at their house, surrounded by their children, and grandchildren, and a few close relatives. It was such an amazing day with the sun shining and everyone relaxed and laughing and playing and enjoying each other’s company. There’s nothing quite like a wedding at home. I can’t explain it fully but being in someone’s home and literally feeling the love and companionship and commitment coming out from the floor boards and walls, and from the pictures, and hearing the commotion of the day but seeing all the smiles, being surrounded by a couple’s own things…that makes the wedding day take on a whole new feeling. From the moment I walked up to Shonna and Keith’s home I felt it. When I saw them surrounded by so much love I was again reminded. When I heard them say I do I smiled with them. When the toasts started and a few tears rolled down, the tears rolled down my cheeks too. It was such an honor capturing this amazing day and show of love and second chances.Shonna’s BHLDN gown was so beautiful…as was the light filled loft area!They had their ceremony on the deck overlooking the river.And they did the happy dance after saying their I do’s!!! What a beautiful family!!!Toasts! Their reception was so unique and fun! It was held at Second Chance in downtown Baltimore.There were little vignettes of rooms set up all over the warehouses and people meandered through the spaces- sitting, eating, talking, drinking, laughing, enjoying each other’s company. And of course an epic dance party happened! The Shatners band played all night and got everyone up and dancing. One last portrait…among pictures and picture frames and bed frames.
